Pastor Mike continued his study of events in the life of David. He shared that not everyone was in agreement that David should be king and he found himself in a bad place being hunted by King Saul so he escaped to the Philistine country and joined the enemies of Israel. However when they went to battle against Israel the Philistines sent him home because they couldn’t trust him. When David arrived back at Ziglag he found the town burned to the ground and all the people taken. What a bad day but the first thing David did was to turn to the Lord and enquire from what he should do. David had learned in his youth that he could encourage himself in the Lord in the midst of bad situations.
